How a PEMF machine works (on horses)
PEMF = Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy.
- The machine sends low-frequency electromagnetic pulses through coils or pads placed on the horse.
- These pulses penetrate deep into tissue (muscle, tendon, ligament, bone).
- They stimulate cells, especially by improving how ions (like calcium and sodium) move across cell membranes.
